Old Age Makeup (First Post Ever)

Sim, decidi criar um blog onde vou começar a postar trabalhos de maquilhagem e caracterização feitos por mim, os produtos que utilizei e a descrição de todo o processo.

Espero que este blog se torne num espaço de partilha de técnicas, opiniões, aptidões e paixões, e espero que se tornem membros do mesmo!

Tive o prazer de me tornar um membro da produção do grupo de teatro Váatão, que está no processo de realização de um filme que pretende imortalizar uma personagem, que brevemente nos vai contar a sua história de vida.
Todas as fotos abaixo apresentadas são da autoria da Alexandra Gonçalves, a quem agradeço imenso por me ajudar na conceção deste primeiro post!

-Látex liquido

-Paleta de highlight e contour da Miss Cop

-Lápis castanho (usei um da Estée Lauder)

-Diferentes pincéis

-Tintas faciais da Snazaroo nas cores “branco cintilante” e “azul royal”.

Yes, I’ve decided to create a blog where I’ll start posting makeup and SFX makeup looks and projects all made by me, as well as the products I used and the whole process description.

I hope this blog will become a place where we can share technics, opinions, skills and passions, and I also hope you become members of the blog!

I was pleased to become a member of the theater group “Váatão” production, which is now in the process of making a film to immortalize a character that will soon tell us the story of her life.

Here is all about this old age makeup:

For this look I used:

- Liquid Latex

-Miss Cop highlight and contour palette

- A brown pencil (I used one from Estée Lauder)

-Different brushes

- Snazaroo face paints in the colors "sparkling white" and “royal blue”

Comecei por delinear as rugas naturais da modelo com um lápis castanho (alerta caras engraçadas). De seguida contornei as linhas anteriormente feitas a castanho com tinta branca num pincel, para obter um efeito luz/sombra e esbati estas linhas guia.

I began by outlining the model’s natural wrinkles with a brown pencil (funny faces alert). Then I outlined the lines previously done in brown with the white face paint on a brush to obtain a light/shadow effect and then I just blended these guidelines.

Ao fim de muitas caras engraçadas comecei a aplicar o latex, em camadas finas, esticando a pele ao máximo para que quando o latex seque forme “rugas”. Fiz cerca de quatro camadas e trabalhei em pequenas porções da cara, secando com um secador entre cada camada.

After many funny faces I finally began to apply the liquid latex, working in thin layers, stretching the skin as much as I can. When it’s dried, the latex will form "wrinkles". I did about four layers and worked in small portions of the face, drying it with a blow dryer in-between each layer.

Como as bochechas são bastante difíceis de esticar manualmente, usei uma colher para o fazer.

Because the cheeks are quite difficult to stretch manually, I used a spoon to do the job.

Ao fim do látex ter secado por completo, defini novamente as áreas de luz e sombra com a paleta de highlight e countour e simulei algumas manchas de idade com o lápis castanho.

After the latex has dried completely, I’m again defining the light and shadow areas with the highlight countour palette. I also faked some age spots with the brown pencil.

Repeti todos estes passos para o pescoço, mãos e pés. Nas mãos e nos pés, com a ajuda de um pincel fino e da tinta azul da Snazaroo, desenhei algumas veias e pequenas nodoas negras, bem como algumas manchas com o lápis castanho, para mimicar as manchas de idade.

I repeated all these steps on the neck, hands and feet. With the help of a fine brush and Snazaroo’s blue face paint, I drew some small veins and bruises, as well as some age spots with the brown pencil, on the hands and feet.
